NIKEiD provides athletes the ability to customize their perfect shoe.

A cleaner, more lightweight UX made the customization experience feel simpler.

We increased the size of the customization options on tablet to make the experience more tactile and playful.

We addressed common user complaints such as clearly communicating that steps were incomplete in the customization process.

For the phone experience, tapping the shoe brings up the customization options.

The phone customization options scroll vertically while keeping the shoe within view.

NIKEiD

My team streamlined the NIKEiD desktop experience by making the shoe customization steps more visual. In addition, we redesigned the progress bar to clearly communicate which customization steps are complete.

I also led the design of the NIKEiD builder on iPad and iPhone. Our team was awarded a Webby for this work.

My Role
I was the Associate Creative Director of Experience Design on this project. I helped set up and review the wireframe specifications created by the experience designers on the team, and led the client relations. Our UX team also worked closely with visual design and engineering until the project was complete.
